Man on a Mission

Hi Guys and Gals,

I have been browsing this forum for the last few weeks gathering lots of information, particularly on the nutrition side of things.

My aim is to lose the body fat and tone up, i want to be lean and functional!

I have always been very active, i was a competetive swimmer and a 2nd degree blackbelt in freestyle taekwondo, i then moved on to bike trials, climbing and road cycling!

Im hoping this forum will help me with diet and weight training, cardio side of things im ok with, currently swimming 6miles a week!

Im 23, 6ft1" and weigh 214lbs.

Thanks guys, im trying to get use to a calorie deficit of 2860, struggling a bit as i must of been consuming around 1000 - 1500 a day in the past that was on a 3 meal day though. Im on 5 meals a day now and getting just over the 2000 mark. Once i have got my diet nailed i will start a journal!

Quick question, should i pay much atention to the GDA portion size as i could probably get my calouries up if i had a bigger portion?
