Sore hands and grip.....

No....... not that....lol

when I work out I have noticed that when I really push myself with heavy weights my hands are quite sore. Now I have seen people talk about developing a stronger grip but I also have arthritis in my hands, and was wondering if anyone knows anything that might help alleviate the soreness (other than aspirin or tylenol...lol :D )

Suggestions?

have your man rub them

I know this sounds like real hippy **** and there isn't any scientific backing behind it but have you ever tried a magnetic copper braclet?
Loads of studies show they don't do anything but I know a few people who swear that they do. Maybe it's just a placebo effect but a placebo effect is better than nothing ;)

Plus, with the medication, wouldn't an anti-inflammatory drug like Ibroprofen work better than aspirin or tylenol. I know aspirin reduces inflammation but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as Ibroprofen

taking vitamin e, and glucosaminee may help too

and the magnets!!! yes yes, also wearing a tinfoil cap will keep "them" from eating your brain! lol jk

I'd go with fisting the sheep first.

This prob sounds just like my knees. BigT, think I could make it work?

lol,, no, haven't tried the copper bracelets....and yes, Ibroprophen can help more but can't take it as much it's murder on the stomach....

I do take glucosamine ...maybe I'm not taking it consistently enough...I'll have to try Vit E again....

And I'm quite sure Miss NLL has enough to handle (no pun intended)...

I love how the post starts with pain in the hands from lifting to stuff with a sheep. I always wondered how many degrees of separation there was between hand pain and sheep, now I know. :)

I'd do this. I live and die by placebo lol.

Try weightlifting gloves, which may help you from feeling like you have to grip the bar so tightly.

I do wear gloves...I have arthritis.....
