Update 3

Hey again guys!

Thought it was time for another little update so here goes. To put it into context for those who don't know:

- I began my weight loss on here on December 13th 2008 at around 275lbs
- Next Update was on February 16th 2009 at 245lbs
- Today, April 14th 2009, having just weighed myself, I am *drum roll*

- *220lbs, or exactly 16 stone, or 100kg*

A 55lb loss in 122 days.

My next target is 200lbs, which would have my BMI just scrape into the 'Normal' category (6ft 2 male). Right now, my jeans are just looking silly on me and I've been able to wear a suit for the first time in 4 years, which I'm proud of :)

Any tips for motivation or just anything you would like to contribute would be deeply appreciated.

Regards,
Chris

Wow, that's impressive. Way to go, Chris. I don't know you from before - so how did you do it? What was your program and your diet.

Dude, you are on the right track. Keep up the AWESOME work man. Now that shows a lot of HEART, WILLPOWER, and DETERMINATION. Keep it up and I can't wait to hear your next update in maybe June for summer!!!! Congradulation.

Thanks Waitwhat, appreciate that. As far as my program and diet is concerned, I've been doing a (I forget the name of it) weights regime where you do particular sets of muscles on particular days 3 days a week.

Regarding cardio, I started off by walking between 4 and 5 miles, usually 4 times a week. From this I graduated up to a steady jog for the same distance.

I actually love both these aspects due to the pure simplicity of them both, lifting heavy things and running set distances. All that's needed is a room with weights and a pair of trainers, really shiats all over the general BS that is the modern 'gym lifestyle' where you pay loads of money for over complicated stuff that actually makes you LESS likely to achieve what you want.

Diet: No alcohol, that was the biggest thing, the weight started falling off right off the bat when I gave that up. Foodwise, it's pretty simple as I'm not picky anyway, the darkest brown bread I can find, kidney beans, brown rice, spinach, canned tuna, low fat houmous, and skimmed milk. A multivitamin and a one a day fish oil (omega 3/6/9) supplement is all I take in that department, and I eat pretty much whenever I want.
