doing hiit everyday

I started doing hiit everyday and had only one day of rest if I continue to do this for 2 months everyday with at least one day of rest what will happen?

you'll.... lose fat and build muscle probably...

I was doing HIIT 5/6 days a week for over a month in the spring but I got very sick (unrelated? body worn down?) and couldn't run for 4 weeks. I gained a LOT of definition and lost some pounds before that happened though. My diet wasn't the greatest at that time either.

that is amazing if you can withstand doing HIIT everyday for 1 week. May I suggest that the whole session should last more than 1 hour (the longer the better); including warming up and cooling down phase. That way you are more in the fat-burning zone.

If you can keep that up for just 1 month, you will see/feel/look AMAZING.

HIIT for 1 hour would not be HIIT.. it's high intensity interval training. If you can do HIIT for 1 hour, you're probably not doing HIIT but just regular interval training.

As far as the fat burning zone.. the fat burning zone, if I remember correctly, has been established at somewhere around 66% of max heart rate, with HIIT you will be much higher. However, the fat burning zone is just where the highest % of the calories you burn will come from fat, a number in % does not take into account the total number of calories burned. Let's say you do steady state cardio in the fat burning zone and you burn 500 calories, 250 of them being from fat, then the number would be at 50%. Now, let's say you do high intensity cardio above the "fat burning zone" and you burn 750 calories, 300 of them being from fat. Catch my drift? the total amount of fat burned would be more, but more importantly, the total amount of calories burned would be more. Burning fat or carbs during workout doesn't really matter, because at the end of the day what matters is calories in vs calories out.

Now, to the OP:
Did you start from no exercise and going straight to HIIT 6 times a week? That's probably not such a good idea. If your body is not used to the stress from training, then you should ease into it. I know it sucks, but you can avoid many unecessary injuries this way.

As for losing fat and gaining muscle.. possible, but it's not a given that this will happen. It's usually very hard to do both at the same time and it is often recommended to focus on one or the other (that doesn't mean you have to go on a crazy bulk and gain lots of fat if you want to gain muscle though, like the traditional bulk, it just means that if you want to gain muscle you should eat slightly over your calorie maintenance level and when you're in a surplus, even though it is very little, losing fat is hard). However, it is typically seen to happen more in newbies for some reason.

I'm adding this:
For a more critical view on the fat burning zone, check this out:

it goes over what it actually is and why training in that zone isn't really as ideal as people seem to think.

What you are doing is putting the cart before the horse because you have not stated :-

- your fitness goals
- what you are actually doing specifically (HIIT is too bland)
- where you came up with the idea of doing cardio for 6 days?

basically i was doing regular cardio I got bored with it. And since I have been doing hiit i switch up everyday and I feel sick when I am doing it. But afterwards it feels like I drank 3 cups of coffee. Anywho I want to burn as much fat as I can. So would 6 days a week be too much? I have muscles but the fat is covering it up and I am trying to show my curves too. My diet is great I am still vegetarian but I use loads of soy and vegan protein before and after my workout.

I usually do 30 sec sprints and 30 sec rest or 30 sec sprints 1 min rest on the treadmill and other equipment I do the 30/30 rule. It last for 20 mins

I don't want to make it seem like overtraining but I want this fat off it's making me depressed and I need it off within 1 or 2 months or I am going to have an eating disorder relapse which I don't want to go thru again eck... :(

I would not advise anyone to do tons of cardio for 6 days a week as its a guaranteed way to lose both muscle and fat tissue. Build muscle and burn fat through a combination of weight training and HIIT.
