suplement choice

Hi people, so my brother and I are willing to lose weight we are not really fat it's just that we have some parts of our bodys that have too much fat. We did once the HIIT program and it was really hard but I liked it, my brother unfurtanly not too much and I trying to convince him to keep doing it, we also do 3 times a week a rutine of exercises that last almost 2 hours. But We have read about two suplements for losing weight, we are not that kind of people that are fat and expect everything to be really easy as you can read above, we actually like to eat good food but sometimes it is a little hard to resist, but that doesnt mean we are too fat. just in case, so about the suplements one is hydroxycut and the other one is animal cuts, what do you guys think? wich one is better for us? also if you guys have some more questions feel free to ask

thanks

1. What does your diet look like?
2. Do you know how many calories your taking in, and how many you need to lose weight?
3. Do you know your Maintenance calorie intake?
4. Are you weight training?

You don't need supplements

You just have to eat less, eat cleaner, and exercise more.
Yeah I know you are right, but suplements help and a lot, because thay have all the minerals, vitamins and all that the body needs in this case for losing weight I am not planning in just take the suplement and wait for "the magic" to take effect, no, I like to workout and do really hard exercises rutines and eat right and cleaner as you said it's just that i think that suplements can give you some help for acomplish my goals faster, so if you have to choose one of the two, also if you know them and know how they work and everything wich one do you think is better for me and my brother?

1. breakfast= I sometimes dont eat anything but when I do I just eat a bread
Lunch= rice, chicken or steak or fish, potatoes, juice(this is the one varies the most, sometimes I eat like chinese food, or tuna, or spaghetti, but practically that's what I eat for lunch)
Supper= Most of the time tuna, I really like it, I eat the whole can, and well this is the bad part also, sometimes I eat junk food in the supper, like taco or pizza or kfc, but not all the time.

*Also sometimes I eat a snack(sandwich, ice cream, chips, etc) between lunch and supper but that almost never happens.

2. I really dont know how much calories I am taking but I am losing weight because my exercise rutine it's pretty extreme the only problem it's that I dont do cardio, but as I said I am trying to convince my brother to the HIIT program with me. also I am 1.76 meters and my weight is 172 lb, my brother is almost the same as me in stature but I am taller and he is 188 lb.

3. Not really, I have never heard that, could you please explain me what that is? and also how can I find it?

4. If you are talking about my exercise rutine, this is it, I hope you understand me, I know english it's just that i dont know too much english fitness terms. Anyway I do 70 normal push ups, and 70 push ups but with a chair(you know for the upper part of the chest), then I do 70 normal Abdominals for the upper part of my abdomen , then i do 70 abdominals but raising my legs you know for the lower part of my abdomen, then I do 240 for my lateral abdomen I do it standing myself up and moving all my body to right/down and then to the left/down exept my legs that remind intact, and i do 240 for also lateral abdomen I think, because i move myself right and left but working my waist, then I do biceps with a weight of 8lb I do 4 series of all that I can, and last I do 90 squats holding 8lb of weight with my hands like praying

You don't need to count calories, but it helps a lot knowing how much food you are eating and how much you need to stop eating to lose weight.

Your BMR is your basal metabolic rate, it is how much energy or calories your body burns in one day without any additional exercise. For example, my BMR is 1700 calories. So if i just lied in a coma, i'd need 1700 calories to maintain my body weight.

Your maintenance calorie intake is how many calories it takes to maintain your weight with exercise and real life activities.

It is often recommended to subtract 20% from your maintenance calorie intake to lose at least one pound a week.

But if you are losing weight, then thats all that matters.

Heres some tips you should remember, cut out all junk food. No junk snacks, no taco bell. No soda or juices. Every meal should have some sort of protein whether its eggs, meat, tuna, w/e. Keep your carb intake limited to the morning and before workout. Don't take in too many carbs at night.

Your routine isn't that bad, your doing bodyweight training atleast. If you have access to weights, and followed a weight lifting routine it can greatly compliment your routine so far.

Eventually you will stop seeing results, when that happens you will have to either exercise more ( maybe start running ? ) or eat less and eat cleaner.

Well it is pretty hard to count calories since I dont know how much calories some meals have but I'll try.

Mm now I know what the BMR is but how do I calculate it? and also you seem pretty sure about your BMR so your method of calculation must be pretty accurate please share it

So it is better to eat more at breakfast right? what do you recommend? a cereal?

Well my routine is not always the same, when I feel that my routine is getting easy I add to it more exercises, and more repetitions, today I do 8 types of exercises as you read, but in a few days I plan to add a new exercise.

Also currently I am taking animal pak, I have taking it since my last 4 routines.

And as I read on this forum the HIIT program is the only one (at least that I know, correct me if I am wrong) that helps you lose a lot of weight without losing muscles, but it is pretty intense, but I'll do it since I dont do cardio.

Also feel free to tell me any tips that could help me out

thanks

Here's a calculator to calculate your daily calorie needs

Breakfast should you be your largest meal.
You can have eggs, oatmeal, fresh fruit, whole wheat bread with natural peanut butter.

HIIT is good, but your diet is going to decide whether or not you'll lose muscle. If your eating too low or not enough protein, more muscle will be lost.
Like I said, if you keep some kind of source of protein at every meal it will help.

To the OP, you don't need hydroxycut or animal cut or any diet pill. Read up on hydroxycut - Muscletech paid $100,000 because they couldn't prove that hydroxycut was "clinically proven" to be a "fat-burner". The before and after picture used was alleged to have been doctored. Why do people waste money on these kind of pills?

While repeating some of what has been said before, to lose fat :-
1. Eat less but eat Proteins,Complex Carbs and Healthy Fats.
2. Combine Resistance Training and HIIT/Cardio.
3. Say goodbye to alcohol, junkfood, sugar, HFCS and other empty calorie foods.

+1

I'd say the same thing, just that it'd take me 8 paragraphs. ;)

FOOD is what contains the vitamins, minerals, etc, promote a healthy body and fat loss.

supplements should be nothing more than insurance that you're getting everything you need. Not the sole source of vitamins and minerals.

there's nothing wrong with taking animal cuts, that's just a multivitamin amino acid combo as far as I know.

Yeah that's why I was thinking on taking that, like i said I said I know some people think that is better to lose weight with the natural way but suplements do help, at least someone seems to understand me..that doesnt mean that the other people arent correct, right now I am eating better and exercesing better, and soon I'll be doing cardio.
Animal cuts has lots of components that also include l carnitina wich I have heard that is good for losing weight, and I have taked animal pack before(wich is from universal too) and the suplement is really good.

Green tea is really the only supplement that has proven weight loss capabilities
It is relatively safe-it has some caffeine, but the reason people lose weight is not the caffeine but because of some phytochemicals which stimulate metabolism..that really has been proven..don't expect it to do it by itself..I put on about 15 pounds after I started dating a girl..I was eating stuff I normally would not eat ( I am pretty strict about fat/junk food) but I ate it because she was eating it..I lost 15 pounds in about 6 weeks with a combo of green tea/walking/weight training..and I am starting to get a six pack.
