Hi all! I'm an 18 year old lass from the North East of England. I've only recently got back into going to the gym (literally, last week :yelrotflmao
, and I'm already hooked!
Basically, since I got my car (Feb 2007), I've lived a very sedentry lifestyle, and eaten far too much, rising from a size 8 - 10 to a 12-14. I'm just sick of having untoned flab everywhere, and 3 quarters of my wardrobe not even fitting me!
So, I have started gymming, but I really don't know if what I'm doing is right. I go everyday, for between 45 mins to an hour and a half. Generally, for the hour and a half, I do 15 minutes powerwalking on the treadmill (on a cross country programme), 10 minutes on the crosstrainer and either 10 minutes on the bike or the rower. I then go on the weight machines, doing 15 reps and 3 blocks of these reps, generally on a weight which is a bit of a struggle, but not obscenely heavy.
I have already noticed a small change in my body shape, my legs have definately got a bit thinner, but also harder.
I'm eating more healthily, and mostly avoiding snacks, and replacing most snacks with fruit.
Does this sound okay?
Sorry if I've bored you guys!
