G'day.

Hi :)

My name is Becca and I'm from Australia :D

I like chatting, wasting time, dancing and just having fun.

I joined this forum because I guess I need help with getting fitter and losing weight.

I have already lost 10 kilos but I got about another 20-25 to go. :11doh: (I used to be 70 kilos and then went to 105 kilos :eek2:

I have recently started jogging and went from jogging for 1 minute to jogging 10 minutes (trust me..something I never thought I'd do) in under 2 weeks.

Anyway I don't really know whatelse to say... so that's all from me!

An Aussie. I like you already. ;)

And help you shall get. Be sure to read the stickies and follow suggested reading links. With a firm grasp of the basics you can't help but succeed. If you have any questions, I think you'll find that the people around here are a helpful bunch, so... gitterdun.

Congratulations on the running. That's something I'm going to be starting on soon myself. Now I can tell myself I'd never live it down, getting shown up by a girl.

Anyway, welcome. :D

Hey there, welcome.

You aren't by any chance watching the tennis, are ya? I'm only mildly obsessed :p

Haha, I am not really into the tennis but occasionally, I'll watch a bit of the match. I guess it's hard of hard not to get caught up in the excitement around here. :D

Becca-- thanks for the encouragement. They always say that first mile is the toughest but I never seem to have enough endurance for the second one. One of my goals this year is to run/jog or around my ranch's perimeters. I am going to start (when it warms up) by running around the arena perimeter. I am glad to hear that the progression doesn't take that long-- although it may take me a little a longer having let any progress I made a couple decades ago slip. We used to run a mile and a half in the Air Force (many moons ago). Anyway good luck with your training.
My favorite Aussie was just in town last weekend, Clinton Anderson!
