Adding pushups too much...

I weight train Tue-Thurs-Sat and do cardio Mon-Wed-Fri. I usually ride a bike or run for cardio and have been thinking of adding in pushups to my cardio days.

Is this too much since I am working my chest on the other 3 weight training days?

If not, do you it would be better to sets of pushups or just 1 set of as many as I can? What if I did cardio for 10 minutes, then a set of pushups 3 times for total of 30 minutes?

Just looking to add a little on my cardio days.

Don't worry about lifting on your cardio days. I don't know what your weight training program looks like, but if it's well designed and balanced your body needs the rest. You're better of incorporating pushups into your weight training.

We used to call it Fartlek Training. That is run for some interval do some other exercise, run another interval, do some other exercise, repeat. The other exercise can be anything from a body weight exercise, like pushups, situps, jumping jacks, chins, squats, etc. to having a barbell and doing squats, deadlifts, clean and presses, etc. The "other" exercise is typically done to failure or for a set period of time (30, 60, 120 seconds). As long as you don't stop to rest it just continues the aerobic (causing heavy breathing and increasing heart rate) using different muscles, so the endurance of a single muscle group (quads, calves, glutes if you are running), does not become the limiting factor in your ability to tax your cardiovascular system.

I tend to agree with DS. That sounds to me a bit like peripheral heart action, or common circuit training, it's super effective at fat burning, without really churning away at the muscle.

Great advice!
