Weight traning everyday?

Is it safe to train everyday with light weights, for example around 40-50lbs lifts and stuff?

is it safe to do pull ups everyday and all the time even after workout at gym? becuase I have pullups bar in my room and i love doing pullups everynow and then, should I stop doing it after i been to gym?

I'm not sure exactly, but i think as long as your not intensly working them out and tearing muscles it wouldn't matter if you work everyday. When ever theres a commercial or i'm waiting for something i just do pushups, crunches, or chinups

so i dont think it matters as long as your not lifting heavy daily

thats great! thanks alot.

You don't burn many calories doing it, so it won't mean much fat loss (which is what gets your muscles toned).

It'll only have a very small if any effect on muscle growth, if you're doing a proper gym routine. It may even be overtraining which is counterproductive.

if you are going to weight train everyday with "light weights", how in the world do you expect to tear your muscles enough to stimulate growth. also, you must give your muscles enough time to rest before you rip them again(at least 48 hours).
weight training everyday with light weights will probably do next to nothing.

a common, effective reccomendation is a fullbody workout 3 times a week with challenging weights.
you will not make progress with light weights unless you are doing some kind of speed training.

fullday body work out could take ages though which im not too kean on it, ill just do one day leg and oneday upper body.

hey thanks for the advice man. :D

Given your attitude you may want to think about this...

The kind of ambition it takes to achieve and hold on a long term basis and solid body physic you will not find in a person who says...

fullday body work out could take ages

A full body training session should always be under an hour, usually 45 mins or less especially for fat loss or hypertrophy program. For increase of absolute strength this can vary because of rest times...but I digress.

Get right with the info, get right with you goals and hit at it hard.

Also, getting 'toned' as you put it...has very little to do with your weight routine...and a whole hell of a lot to do with your diet.

You seem un-educated in the fitness area, which is fine...but you need to listen to those around here who know their stuff. I'd purge your head of all your pre-conceptions so you can accept the truths we're going to share with you. Fullbody is actually a pretty effective way to bulk up if you eat right and rest properly.

Yes

is it safe to do pull ups everyday and all the time even after workout at gym?

Yes

should I stop doing it after i been to gym?

You can keep doing them.

After answering your questions I will comment some more.

You still need a good training plan, not just "do some stuff every day." The full body workout is not a bad route to go. You could also do a push pull or upper lower split, those will work as well.

A lot of people on this forum do not like it, but a good 4 day split can work well also.

Doing an exercise every training day is a good way to bring up weak or lagging areas. (I would not recommend every day. Take one or two days a week off)

Example #1 - I did some type of shrugs every time I went to the gym. (6 days per week) Just a few sets of whatever weight I felt like. (or that just happened to be on the bar) People were noticing how much more developed my traps were getting after 4 or 6 weeks.

Example #2 - There is a guy at the gym I train at who does strongman. He supersets pull-ups with 1 or 2 exercises he does during each of his workouts. Says that it really helps keep his shoulders healthy and more stable.

This does not work forever though. 4 - 6 weeks to bring up a lagging area can be very beneficial. I like to rotate 2 or 3 different areas. This gives some change after high volume training a certain movement.

Hope this helps. :D:cool:;):)

Can i back up again also, mannnny ppl diss Splits on here, almost everyone i know who weight trains do splits round my area and they get brilliant results, and although my avatar doesnt show much, i have pleasingly improved over the last 6-7 months so dont think ill change from my split routine :)

I don't have a problem with splits, even '1 muscle group a day' splits...AS LONG AS YOU ARE READY FOR THEM.

a newbie trainee will make better progress on a fullbody routine than a 4-5 day split because their under-trained muscles need very little stimulation to cause micro tears. adn the body isn't used to repairing a lot of damage so if you do low damage, frequently, they can keep up.

eventually they adapt...then you step up to something like an upper/lower split.
when you adapt to that, you can start getting pretty creative.

for the same reason you don't start a newbie on a Ninja ZX-14 (1399cc crotch rocket), you don't start a newbie on a pro-bodybuilder split (5-day split)

Hey thanks everyone for great replies, its true im kinda new to all this bodybuilding and diet. thats why im here to seek for some advice from BB experts :D.

I am new to gym but I've been working out in my bedroom for years, and i can say that when i go to gym im alot in better shape than alot of people who I see at gym. I love pullups and pushups i think they are great!!!

The reason ive joined the gym is I now want to take BB abit more seriously, and get in better shape!

there are ALOT of quastions in this spect that i have in my mind which might sound stupid to some of you people but I need to know the answers to them. I'll ask them later on.

Today i worked out on my upper body at gym, took me 1 hour include 15min warming up, and I think that was just enough for me. I'll be doing legs and work on my abbs tomorow. hows that sound?

an upper/lower split is ok, though I question why it took a whole hour for half your body...you might be doing a bit too much for your own good.
I can do my entire body, with 'nasty' exercises like squats, deadlifts and pullups, and be done in under an hour.

then again, if you're resting too long or bull****ting with someone between sets, that'll really add time to your workout.

I dont really talk to anyone in gym, i dont even know anybody there lol. I rest about 2-3 min after each 3 sets. but i do quiet a few difrent excersies on my chest, arms and back.
