Just Starting

So, I was always super into sports so all through high school I never gained weight unless I physically tried. After leaving though I became an electrician and thus began my life of work and relaxation. I began noticing that I was getting bigger but never tried to stop it. Then 2 weeks ago I step onto the scale and I weighed 288lbs!!! I'm 6'2" so you can imagine that doesn't look good at all. I decided to ignore it and the next day I was scaling a ladder and looked at a label on the way up. OSHA rated the ladder for on 300lbs. I was 12 lbs away. So that night after work I speed to the Walmart near by picked up some Creatine went home and dusted off the weights and since then I've lost 10lbs. I know its not healthy to lose alot of weight quick but I turned into some what of a workout freak. But now 1 week and a half later I feel that I'm slowing down. I want to know what are some tips on keeping up the hard work. Ive completely changed my diet but I don't want to go back to a lazy couch potato. Please let's stay positive we are all here for the same reason just look at the URL.

Welcome to the forum, Israel.

If you haven't already, go to the Weight Loss Diary section and start a journal. That's the best place to visit on the site. If you start a journal then people can check in on you and offer support (and you can do the same for them by checking out their journals too).
