NROL Deadlift Shrug...how?

I don't understand the explanation of the deadlift shrug in New Rules of Lifting. Does anyone have a picture or video or something I can look at? Or a better explanation? I understand you start like a deadlift but where do your arms end up?

At the lockout point (end of your ROM in the lifting portion) simply raise your shoulders their full extent. Then drop your shoulders and begin your decent.

I got a question about this too. In the deadlift shrug, do you use any of the momentum from the lockout part into the shrug? Or do you lock out, stop for a sec, then shrug?

I'm still confused. Do you bend your elbows then like at the high pull? Cause in the description of the shrug it says to keep your arms straight. So how would that be possible? Sorry if this is painfully obvious...

I don't use any momentum durring the concentric phase of the lift(going from deadlift to shurg). However, I blend lowering from the shurg straight into deadlift as one smooth motion.

Barbell Shrug
Does that help, Nicole?

here is sort of an example, just finish the deadlift instead of dropping the bar..

Hmm, the way i remember NROL saying it is something like "isntead of ending the movement at the top of the deadlift continue upward into a shrug" seemed like you use the momentum of the deadlift to me. Either way I think should do you fine.
