It's Fit Time !

What's up.

two weeks ago I decided to stop fraking around and get my life back in order. I'm 21 and.......ya i need to start going out and enjoying my 20's...IN SHAPE !

Right now I weigh 265lbs.

I've given up all fast food, junk food, anything high in carbohydrates and caloric value. My diet now consists of fruits, vegetables, healthy lean meats, tomato juice & water.

I've been working out 5 times a week, and plan to continue working out 5 days a week until university starts up again in sept, then plan around my schedule.

My end goal is to get to around 185-190 lbs.

Hope to find some good info on these forums, and further encouragement.

You can do this!

I was not at this forum, but I was 245 lbs at the age of 22. i saw a marathon on T.V. and the faces of the finishers and realized, "I WANT THAT"

It took me nearly 2 years to run my first MARATHON!! 26.2 miles. It took me nearly 7 hours! I ended up with a best time in that event of 4:32.

Today i am 39, my life is based around athletics. I am a pro-rated skydiver, advance martial artist, i am training for a triathlon, and here to say!!!!!!

YOU CAN DO THIS!!!! YOU CAN MAKE IT! The road is not too long. The first time I set out to break a sweat, i didn't even make the end fo the driveway and I was gassed out. Today, few people can hang with, let alone wear me down!

I use me, because I know you. I was there. I may be older. But i will tell you this. If you do not make it.... look to the man in the mirror- pupil to pupil, it is ALL you.

and if you do make it.... it will be ALL you!!

you are not alone.

So Stevi- are you with us man? No need to overhaul your whole life all at once. There are so many small things that can help tremendously.

but!! you need to chime in. Not many here like to type type type to and empty receiver.

I don't understand how sky diving is athletic.

Thats not the point.

The inward totality needed to do the act of sky diving alone can bring outward motivation to do other acts otherwise introverted in some persons.

That in itself is priceless.

and FF has it in full gear.

It was the first thing he said to explain the statement, "my life is based around athletics"

I can't respond until you define "inward totality" and "outward motivation". They sound like buzzwords from Tony Robbins.

I was just making a statement short and relatively to the point.

Argueably sky diving isnt necesarily a natural act (nor jumping out of a plane parachuting), and something in the internal mental composite makes and/or allows some persons to do this sort of act. The elements in the same mental composite some times spills over to other forms of outward actions (ie, training, dieting, running, etc) and sometimes motivates these actions.

This is the long answer to my aformentioned statement.

I dont follow Tony, though I know of his works. The words were my own. I tend to pick certain elements from a variety of viewpoints for my own use in my personal motivation rather than just one person.

The post was not meant to be detrimental to you in anway. Hope you took it positive.

Falling is very natural. I see things like rocks, raindrops, and birdcrap fall every day.

This is gibberish right up there with "inward totality" and "outward motivation", which remain undefined.

Wut?

I did not take offense at all. The kind of person who gets upset by people on the internet is the same kind who runs around in circles spamming fear and dots. am i rite!

Congrats on making the decision to turn your life around. And don't worry about FF, he's ALWAYS like that... which is a very good thing. Welcome to the forum.
