Exercising too much or wrong?

Hi!

I really need some help with my fat loss. I have a TANITA body fat analyser and curently its saying:

weight: 208 lbs
calories to sustain weight: 2050
overall fat percentage: 27%
fat % arms/legs/torso: ~20%/~20%/27%

The problem i'm having is that most of my weight is concentrated around my stomach. I have gone back to my cross trainer and started with 45 minutes and now have built upto 90 minutes. Of course i varied the intensity first and then increased the time.
My cross trainer is saying at 90 minutes i'm burning 2000 calories - of course these things are never acurate but you get a rough idea.

I've switched my diet giving up all soft drinks and only drink fresh fruit juice when i need it (max 2 glasses a day) and just plain water.
I've also switched to low fat foods mostly fresh, but i'm confused as to how much fat i need. I know the RDA is 70g for men, but that sounds like alot!

Also i've tried independantly for a few weeks the following:

1) exercise more, and eat the same (tough!)
2) exercise more, and eat a little more (not too tough)
3) exercise more, eat the same but spread out over the day

None have really made a huge difference so far. I'm going to try a combination of 2 and 3 next.

The strange thing is a few months ago i dropped the soft drinks (rest of the diet stayed the same minus obvious stuff like chips and fried stuff), and started 45 minutes on the cross trainer and i must have lost about 10 pounds in 3 weeks. I stopped and went back to my really bad ways eating alot of take out because i was always late at the office, and now i've gained 15 pounds from back then!

I'm really confused as to if 90 minutes with 45 minutes being intense (60+rpm) and 45 minutes less intense (50 to 60rpm) back to back with no stopping is actually the right thing to do? (thats 3 to 5 times a week)

I'm not really a big fan of free wights so i'd prefer not to have to do that if possible!

I'm finding my legs and arms are getting bigger and the TANITA is confirming i'm loosing fat there (slowly) and gaining muscle, but nothing is happening around my stomach :'(

Is what i'm doing right or is there a better way? I feel like i'm putting all the effort in but just doing it all wrong.
I'm lucky that i have alot of will power when it comes to exercise and eating and have managed to keep it up for 2 years before - i got myself a personal trainer and started kickboxing with a personal trainer. But now i just don't have the time to do all of that and i really just want to loose this fat around my stomach i've acumulated from eating rubish the last 6 months!

HELP

So after my 90 minutes today and burning 2000 calories for the first time (so says the cross trainer - previously it was 1400 to 1700) i've eaten (about 3 hours ago) and was just eating some nuts and i feel like its 40 degrees C in here. Its like that feeling when you eat too much and sweat.
That cant be good can it?! I didnt even eat that much.

lol, i have read that you 2/3rds of the calories your body burns is from the heat expelled from your body.... so sweating is a good thing.

yeah i read the same. The only thing i was thinking was, was i that calorie deficient that my body went nuts digesting the food so quickly?

I guess what i'm looking for is some kind of yay or nay on if burning so many calories is smart or not. Any ideas anyone?

people tend to focus too much on exercise and forget to focus more on their diet. the thing that will help you lose weight is changing your diet. eat healthier. people will wonder why they're not losing weight when they exercise six days a week and do this much in weights, etc. a lot of those people don't realize that their eating habits aren't great.
do the math on the calories you need/should intake (your Basal Metabolic Rate, BMR), cut however many calories to get to your goal (usually 500. or burn 500 calories through exercise, a day. you'll lose about 1-2 pounds a week)...exercise is obviously good for you (in moderation! as TrainersRoom said, over exercising can be very dangerous. and it can even cause you to gain weight, in fat.) but your diet is what needs to change first.

here's the formula to find your BMR. i've used this and my nutritionist used it, too.

Men: 66 + (6.23 x weight in pounds) + (12.7 x height in inches) - (6.8 x age in years)
Women: 655 + (4.35 x weight in pounds) + (4.7 x height in inches) - (4.7 x age in years)

don't restrict your calories too much! if you consume too few calories, your body's BMR will lower to keep hold of fat stores. then it could be possible that your body ends up gaining fat because it may start to use muscle to fuel itself.................tricky. not sure if this has helped you, Someone_ , but i hope it did! :D i may have gotten a bit off topic?

Natural Weight Loss Remedies

These natural weight loss remedies will also help in preparing the body and mind for yogasanas. An obese body can also lose about 2 -5% of body weight within 3 weeks of practicing this naturally.

1) Wake up early in the morning just before sunrise (for people who live closer to the poles and where days and nights are not even one should stick to a routine time close to 6 am in the morning).

2) Soak 5-7 fenugreek seeds in 2 glasses of water (plain water will also do in places where you don’t get fenugreek) for 10 minutes and drink it slowly sitting in the floor with an erect back.

3) Conciously breathe for 5 minutes with long inhaling and exhaling (make sure the exhaling time is more than inhaling).

4) Go for a walk of 2 km

5) Wherever you sit, make sure you consciously sit with your spine erect.

6) Drink ample amount of water (Close to 4 litres a day)

7) Don’t stop on fats and carbs completely. Our body needs good fat and carbs for our metabolism to function properly, but completely avoid refined fats. It is a myth that all saturated fats are bad, but there are good saturated fats as well. As far as possible try to have nuts and legumes as a source of fat, but if you can’t avoid oil, then use cold pressed sesame oil, olive oil and for frying coconut oil.

8. Don’t eat stomach full, eat only till your stomach is half full.

9) Don’t eat a heavy meal during night time, instead have a good serving of fruits and milk for night.

10) Go to bed early. If you have insomnia, don’t worry, by following this routine your insomnia will go away naturally

Once you get in to this routine start having a Sattvic Diet and add Natural weight loss supplements in your daily food.

***have a glass of coconut water daily***

luckynans...I really like what you have said. Each any every point is VERY logical and practical along with keeping a balance. This is how us humans should actually live

People have this illusion that eating fat will automatically result in them becoming fat. This isn't true. Fat is an important component of several metabolic functions, and it's usually an excess of saturated and trans fat that results in weight problems.

That being said, I would not trust your Tanita scale one bit. Those things will give you a different fat percentage reading based on how hydrated you are.

The advice that I gotta say is to take the weight-loss slowly. It will seriously be a lot easier on your body if you put it through a gradual calorie deficit and lose weight bit by bit. Taking it slowly will also make it easier to keep the weight off later on.
