tips to get rid extra of skin after weight loss

In the past year I've lost over 80 pounds by working out and eating better. What can I do to tighten up the extra skin, mainly around my stomach.

Surgery.

Rapid weight gain/loss can do bad things to skin. Unfortunately, exercise doesn't fix that. If you only had a bit say, in your arms, you could possibly "fill in" the extra with muscle, but in your abs, there's not a lot you can do.

geez that sucks. so what if there was just a little bit of flab on the sides (love handles), could weight loss get rid of it without leaving any extra skin. I can pinch almost an inch around my waist. Do you think extra skin be a problem for me?

At age 18 your skin is able to 'unshrink' if you like, getting ripped and staying fit and active will aid this process..

if your 50+ then i would say surgery is your best bet, but being as young as you are you should have no problems say over the course of a year to having much firmer skin,.

Yeah, I'm sorry, but where did you get the idea of surgery from. If your 18, your body is still very active in growth etc. In a year or so with a decent workout you should be fine.

Usually you only hear about these complications with people losing over 100 lbs (well I do anyway), Do you still have fat on your body?

Thanks for the name calling Grey Goose.

The original post did not state the age of the poster, I did not know this person was 18. I am aware that a younger person is generally more able to rebound from such things than an older person who has been significantly overweight for decades.

At 18, wt loss of 80 pounds will probably not cause enough excessive skin to be a big problem, staying in shape and eating right will most likely take care of most, if not all of it, in time.

Sorry,

i over reacted, and it wasn't your fault as you weren't aware of the posters age.
I thought u were being a bit forthcoming with your advice, which might not have been as helpful as it could have been. sounded a bit drastic but i guess thats becasue i knew the OP was 18.

my apologies.

Hey do you mind if you can explain what you did for the 80 pounds?

Like what was your starting weight?

What kind of workout did you do?

What did you eat?

Sorry for not answering your question. I just started my own quest for weight loss, lol.

Thanks.
