A New Workout Plan!

Hey Guys! Im New To The Forum And I Have Some Questions...

Ive Just Started Working Out (cuz I Need To Lose Some Weight, Probably Around 40 Pounds)
I Use The Ellpictal For About 20 Minutes And Lose 200 Calories
And The Treadmill For About 45 Mins (about 200 Calories)
Im Wondering If Im On The Right Track And When I Should Start Incorporating Strength Training Into My Workout?
I Also Wanna Focus On My Abs (specifically Love Handles) And Upper Back So If Anyone Knows Any Moves I Should Be Performing For Those Id Appreciate It Alot!
Thanks Guys!!

Well, i won't be able to tell you as much as some of these other dudes will be able to, but i can give you some basics to go by and look more into.
First, i would recomend looking into your diet rather than worrying about cardio. What most people on this site do, including myself, eat 5 to 6 meals a day. To do this i would recomend calculating how many calories you need, divide it by the number of meals you plan to consume, and then you get your number for each meal. If you're wondering how to get these numbers, you need to get your height and weight then go to this site.

Secondly, once you get your diet in check(try using whole foods) focus on weight training. i would recomend that you do full body instead of splits because it's easy for beginers.also, do compound movements instead of isolation.

Thirdly, once you're done with setting up your program, try looking into HIIT training. you can find it here on this site.

This artical, wich i recomend reading, goes into a little more detail and will help you understand dieting and fitness.
