Volleyball

I'm 16, 5'7 160 lbs. sophmore. I am a wrestler and powerlifter currently. Wrestling is a winter sport so when that is over, I'm thinking about joining the Volleyball team for the spring. If I do so, I was wondering what things I could be doing now in order to prepare myself? I was thinking sprints and box jumps...other than that I have no clue. Any suggestions/comments are welcome :)
 
They allow males to play volleyball in teh schools? Vball is an all girl sport in Oklahoma.

Plyometrics will be great for you-box jumps, depth jumps, bounds, medicine ball work.

Hang cleans, push jerks, push presses.

oh yeah? yeah? yeah? well, I can deadlift *2* monster truck tires at once?! what? thats right...

I'm at an all guys school, and yes we have an indoor volleyball team. I like doing sports that kids can make fun of (like wrestling - gay) because if I like the sport, I'm at a point where I can kick alot of people's asses if needed. :) so not many kids talk lol....but i think vball will help keep me agile for wrestling, dont you think?

there is a sport I might think about doing that you'd love, evo. I forget what its called, but where you throw the big heavy steal balls. My school has just about every sport you can think of.

LOL, Merciless, I love playing volleyball. I was just shocked that they let guys play until you told me you go to an all guys school.

yeah, play it while in off-season of the other sports.
