Just a quick intro!

Hello,

Just joined the forum and thought a quick intro is in order.

I am a 37 year 'young' man :D trying to stay/get back into shape. I always was athletic and never really too badly out of shape. However, after a decade of 'living large' (you know the usual...friends, food, booze... in short most of my twenties) I had decided to get back on track to a healthier life style a few years back.

I exercise 5 - 6 times a week and do more cardio then weight training. But in recent years I feel my metabolism has slowed a bit :mad: Not terribly but enough to make me quit drinking alcohol for the most part and start counting calories. So now I'm on a mission fine tune my diet and exercise routine with the help of this forum :cool:

SunRunner [many days it takes some effort and dragging feet to get to the gym but I always feel great after my workout... I'll never understand why that is?]

Hi Sunrunner - I'm a couple of years behind you but, a lot of your post sounds very, very familiar!! I too had the decade (and a bit) of fun and frivolity.

Thanks Chris! I've been reading the forum and the info here is great! Looking forward to contributing from time to time if I can. And BTW... nothing wrong with a little fun and frivolity. Like everything else I just like knowing when to say 'when' ;)
