I want to get cut.

Ok...im 14, almost 15. I'm loike5'4 or 5'5, and I want to get cut. Im around 100 pounds. I don't like being skinny, so I wan't to get cut but not look bulky. Just ahve a six pack, have definition and tone. I have been working out for the pastmonth (I took around Christmas off) in a gym.I have a membership. I want to know how much I should eat a day, I feel i'm nto eating enough. Also I am doing crunches every night and cardio twice a week. Am I supposed to do crunches every day? Or do they need time to recover?

Oh and heres my routine, and I play liek 20mins of basketball each day after workout to. (I go everyday but wednesday and sunday...) And each day I don't do chest, im doing pushups every night. Around 50 a night.

Monday: Chest and Abs
Tuesday: Arms and abs
Wednesday
Thursday: Legs
Friday: Chest and abs
Saturday/Sunday(whatever day I can go) Arms and abs.
Please help, thanks!

Good luck doing "chest" and "arms" on separate days.

I'll throw out two options:

1. Find someone at your gym who can show you the ropes. A lesson with a personal trainer, a workout with a random powerlifter, anything one-on-one with someone who can get you started on a program that works for you.

2. Join a team sport at school, such as football. That environment will provide you a way to become acquainted with the weightroom and with excellent physical shape in general. Further, the "team" aspect is a great way to stay motivated and keep progressing.

I don't mean this as an insult, but it's obvious from your post that you're a weightlifting neophyte of the utmost. Don't jump into it without a guide, a knowledgeable person (in real life, not the internet) to get you started. Good luck!

Hi, in order to get cut, i recommend increasing the number of days that you do cardio per week. Atleast 4 times week. As for ab muscles, you can work them every day.. Try doing 30 sit-ups, then 30 crunches, 30 side crunches on eac side, all of which should be done with no rest, which makes it a total of 120.. Watch your diet carefully and this doesnt mean eating less, but eating right. Drink a lot ofwater before, during and after exercising.
For abs, are there any weighted ab machines at your gym? In order to get 6packs, you need to lose fat AND strengthen the muscles. You should do progressive exercises for your abs. For example, whenever i go to the gym, i do sit ups on the incline bench while holding a weight plate in my chest. As my abs get stronger, i increase the weight.
Try doing side bridges for obliques.
I also noticed that you dont have an back exercises in your routines. If you wanna get fit and cut, a nice back is essential. lol
I usually do back extensions while holding a plate.. push ups are great too, which u already do.
Use freeweights as much as you can... theyre so much more effective than machines.
Barbell squats, deadlifts, bench press, etc.

I recommend doing split lower body and upper body. Example.

Monday: Upper Body
Tuesday: Lower Body
Wednesday: Off
Thursday: Upper
Friday Lower
Sat: Off
Sun: Off

you could do cardio on all these days as well. But don't over do it. Do like walk for 30 minuets or something like that. Make sure your getting the calories/protein/carbs and all that good stuff you need.
Best of luck.
