Isokinetics

An overlooked method with great potential, or a near worthless rehab procedure?

I just finished reading another book on it, and am curious to hear what some of you have to say about it.

I've never heard any positive comments from professors or those who have worked with isokinetic machines.

I actually got a chance to play with one several weeks ago, and it's pretty neat. no weight stacks so it was different, also this one had the degree/second which was awesome. I'm pretty sure it was a couple thou tho.

I think if someone was able to motivate themselves to always give 100%, it'd be pretty amazing what that could do..

Mreik - I dont really know enough about the subject to give a solid intelligent answer.

all I know is they suck!

lol - kidding. I'd be interested to hear what you have to say after reading the book. (what book by the way?)

Already read them, the first one was isokinetics in human performance. And the second one was an e-book so I'd have to get back to you on the title.

Do you think they are worth reading?
I'm just about to read "human biology applied to sports" plus i have some others on my reading list.

Considering the availability of isokinetic machines, you could probably bump it down on your list. Although, it is a good read.

I've read many-a books, and am just looking for something different, so here I am. lol
