Stomach Fat problem

This is not a building ab muscle question, and i know that building the ab muscles will not reduce my stomach fat, will only tone up the muscles underneath. My question is this... i just got an ab roller and i have setup a routine to do..

3 sets of 20 normal crunches,
3 sets of 20 with leg raised (for lower abs),
3 sets of 20 right oblique
3 sets of 20 left oblique

would this be ok to do daily? mornings most likely when i wake up. A friend of mine also showed me this "8 minute abs" video that does 8 different crunches over 8 mins. Would doing this daily be to much? Would it help my stomach become tighter and help the skin go back to where it should be? My biggest worry is that my stomach wont return to where it should be. As of now, im 184lbs and my stomach still slightly hangs over my shorts, its minimal but i notice it. I was 240lbs at 5'7". I am eating well and i am doing cardio 4x a week and weight training 3x a week.

You may already know this, but usually loose skin is caused by rapidly losing weight. I don't think additional ab training makes a difference since it is a small muscle sheath to begin with, but may reduce the appearance. Some of your skin is genetics as well, so some people naturally have stretchier skin that rebounds when they lose alot of weight. As for training daily, you will see more results if you give your abs at least a day or two to heal, just like any other muscle. Congratulations on your impressive weight loss!

Would you think 57lbs in about 5 months is rapid? Right now im losing maybe a pound a week, its slowed conciderably. I am told my ideal weight for my height is around 155 so im hoping that as i lose the additional 30lbs my stomach will go back to where it should be. My personal trainer wanted me to do an ab routine daily, told me abs could be done everyday, not sure how correct this is. I am not using any weights for abs so i dont know if that makes a difference. After doing the routine i listed above my abs were not sore the next day, but i know i couldnt do much more then what i listed, it was pretty tough.

I have the same stomache fat problem... I think if you keep losing bf, eventually it will have to go away... at least that's what I'm hoping.

I really hope my skin will go back to the norm... I just bought the "Body for Life" book, anyone have any thoughts on if the idea's in there are any good? Especially his take on HIIT? I just tried it tonight, on my recumbent bike, and im pretty exhausted after. I did 2mins at 4 resist then up one resist per minute till 7 resist... then reset back to 4 resist, repeated all that 4x. Total of 20mins. Will this help my weight loss better then steady cardio for 45mins?

right now my weight loss is around 1lb a week, in the beginning it was more. I have lost a total of 57-58lbs in about 5 months. Some weeks were more, some less... averaged around 2-3lbs a week total. I think i just need to wait and lose more to see it come off my stomach. Dont know if anyone reads these posts, but i could try posting a picture up, im slightly embarresed though.

I think the most important aspect of achieving your goals would be the following...

1)Adopt a sound routine, I would personally drop your personal trainer as they do not seem to know what they are doing. There are plenty routines around here for free or you could get with a better personal trainer or even an online trainer. If going the online trainer route I highly recommend LV =>
2)Continue to increase calories and eat a clean diet
3) Focus on a healthy pace of weight loss so that if you are having any skin issues this will make that less likely of an issue.
