HIIT music

just tried HIIT and i feel like my bones wanna crawl out of my skin.
anyways, these songs can have quite an effect, lol
i know many of you like rock for running but this just gets me pumped, thought you guys might wanna check it out...

I have power hour mixes on my ipod, which prove good for fast music and for helping to time the intervals instead of having to look at a watch.

Well do you know what power hour is? Its a drinking game. Theres an hour long playlist of one minute songs, and when the song changes, you take a drink of beer. You usually get 8-10 beers down within an hour.

You'd be surprised. I have this unnaturally high tolerance to alcohol. If I drink a 12 pack in an hour and a half, I'd be buzzed but not really drunk.

I don't play that much anyway, I'm a liquor guy. Too many calories/carbs in that massive an amount of beer. It takes 3/4ths of a bottle of smirnoff vodka to get me drunk, the full bottle in a night is what usually pushes me over the edge into throwing up/blacking out, but considering that amount could kill other people, I consider it good.

totally off topic.. lolz..

uhmm listen to some heavy metal or some regeaton works good for me.

everybody has their own music preference...

i for instance enjoy the genre progressive rock when doing HIIT.
It's a rock genre redefined with classical influences (meaning, more complex song structures, often longer pieces).

It's not really to get motivated though, it's more to enjoy the good feeling afterwards. I find music a lot more enjoyable during or after my sport.

Yesterday i did some custom HIIT by running on a hill (got 3 ways to do the hill, straight, zig zag or using stairs). I never done the hill straight so i did for the first time. I didn't ever feel so tired as i did then, running up 3 times. My heartrate got upto 188 (i'm 20, i don't know if that's average for hiit or under the average), and after the third time i had to lie down for a minute. When i descended the hill i could barely keep myself from crashing to the ground (cuz my legs were really tired). Most effective mode of training i done so far doing HIIT. Cause i can't seem to get good results doing sprints on the ground.

The music i listened to walking back home sounded so much better though.
The CD I listened to in that session was this one:
Psychedelic type of progressive rock with some kick ass druming and great guitar solos. Only 2 bad songs on the whole CD.

At times i also enjoy some genesis music ... (tracks: Firth of Fifth, The Cinema Show, ... ) but that's not really when doing HIIT but other types of training.
Needs some listening to get into it though.

But as I said before, everybody has their own preference.

Rammstein -- Feuer Frei

is probably one of them. Generally Yngwie Malmsteen and other speed/power metal stuff will be great too.

If you can think of any other...I guess its a personal preference kind of thing...I'm looking for Rock/R&B/high energy music also for my MP3 I just got for xmas...I hate hearing a song and then thinking that would be great to download and then forgetting ...I'm tired of beyonce! - Rock like AC/DC I'd throw in and a few others but can't seem to remember alot of them...even oldies...

I'm all over the place with my taste in music (and lmao @ We Fly High by Jim Jones, I love that song but I can't run to it).

Life is a Highway - Rascall Flatts

Not a big fan of theirs but this song gets me going, especially if I'm about to slow it down, I feel like I have to keep running when this song is on.
