rest time

How long should i rest? right now i`m resting for 3 days.
so for example, i train on monday and train on friday.
think its too much?

Your days should be spread out as much as possible. If you only train twice a week then yeah that's fine, but if you want to train more than that it should be more spread out.

i didnt understand you.
i dont think you understood me,
just becuase say i train on monday and next session is on friday, doesnt mean it will be the same the next week

i will continue it for you

monday, rest time(3dys), friday, rest time(3d) tuesday etc..

you should have about 48 hours for a muscle to recover.

so, it depends on your split/routine, how often you can train without overtraining.
for example, you should be able to do 3 fullbody workouts a week as long as the volume in each session isn't too high.
or, you could do 2 upper and 2 lower sessions per week (upper, lower, rest, upper, lower, rest, rest...repeat), or push/pull, push/pull/lower...or work each muscle group once per week with a huge level of volume...if you're experienced enough to do it.

I think that 3 days is plenty of time to recover. If you do not feel like you have recovered after the 3 days then you are probably overtraining or you might have hurt yourself during a lift.

It all really depends on how you are working out. If you are doing full body workouts, then three days is fine, but like malkore stated, if you do splits, then you can go more often. It depends on your level of experience and how much time you have to train.

Good luck

i do a full body work out which basicly involve 1 exercise for each muscle
except back, for which i do 3 exercises,
and no i dont feel like i havtn recoved, even before when i used to do every 2 days.

i think i willstart going every 2 days, thxs

Most bodybuilders just GUESS as to what is the precise amount of rest days between workouts. In my opinion, this is wrong. If you are serious about bodybuilding and muscle growth, you must be as precise as possible, and leaving guessing to the bodybuilders who don't understand sound bodybuilding principles.

With that said, you MUST track your progess each and every workout in order to determine if you have the ideal, or precise amount of rest. If you are gaining strength with each workout, rest time is idea. If you are staying the same, or losing strength, rest time needs to be increased. Some bodybuilders need up to 7 or more days rest between workouts to fully recover.

Another Tip - Rest days are directly proportional to the intesity of your bodybuilding exercise.

I hope this helps!

there is no need to guess anything nowadays.
protein synthesis starts when you lift a weight and lasts for 48hrs (fact) so that is the optimum time to train again.
you say dont train again sometimes for 7 days thats crap unless your on gear which produces protein synthesis for you.
all the gains you made in training you will lose after 7 days.

Absolute statements don't make good friends in this particular activity....
