Zig zagging calories vs normal dieting?

By zig zagging your 1,400 calorie diet would get you 16 one day, and 12 the next for example. I assume this is good for your metabolism but any knowledgeable guys out there wanna explain if this is any better then the standard? Hesitant on going against the norm here.

Btw if there is another term for zig zagging let me know for further research.

I zig zag and it seems to work well for me...it gives me a cheat day and I seem to lose pretty steady about 1 to 1.5 pounds a week. I go as low as 1200 to as high as 1600 twice a week. I always try to have my high days the days I work out most...but thats about it for me.

Good luck :)

It's called calorie cycling. High then low.

I'm not sure on the specifics, so I'd recommend doing research on it, but I've heard it's a good idea. I was doing something similar. I'd do 6 days "low" then one day high.
