Hi and welcome to my journal!
Here's a brief sketch of the situation:

I want... no NEED to exercise. I’m a student who’s in her last year so I’m mostly sitting at home behind my computer, working on my graduation. It’s brutal work that takes up most of my time.

Anyway, here’s the situation:
  • I have problems sleeping at night because I don’t feel tired.
  • I’m slowly gaining more weight, 70 k /154 lbs at the moment.
  • I sometimes get back problems from sitting behind my desk all day.
  • I’m getting angry faster because I don’t have an outlet.
I really think that exercise would greatly help solve all these problems.

THINGS I HAVE TRIED SO FAR:

Crosstraining
Worked perfectly, however I’ve moved and I don’t have such a device anymore due to lack of space. But really, just hopping on that thing in the morning, excersize 20 minutes. No problem. Maybe not losing much weight, but I felt good.

Kinect Your Shape: Fitness Evolved
Worked perfectly as well, but when I’ve reached the maximum level the exercises became boring. I Had the same hard exercises over and over. Plus I hate creating enough room every morning to do those exercises. Plus I started working on my graduation project and I couldn’t wake up in time, so I just skipped the exercise and went straight to work.

I know.. it sounds lame… Maybe I should just pick the kinect game up again, it’s nice that you get feedback about how you’re doing the exercise and you can’t slow down! I had even gotten a compliment that I seemed to have lost some weight.

MY POINT OF VIEWS:
  • The gym is too expensive + I’m not sure if I’d keep doing it…
  • I don’t think my diet is the problem.
  • It’s nice to exercise in the morning, after it I can take a quick shower and start my day refreshed.
  • It’s nice to exercise at home, but maybe I should go out more…. :/

Does anyone have any tips for me? Seems to me I just need to get my act together and do something! But it’s hard… Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I (by coincident) are studying body types and I’ve learned that I’m an endomorph, which basically means that It’s very easy for me to gain weight, but hard to form muscles or lose fat.
I also have a pear shape, which means that most of my fat goes to my hips, belly and waist.

Endomorph are encouraged (by livestrong) to:

Weightlifting
2-3 times 20-30 minutes
Weightlifting to encourage muscle mass thus improve the metabolism.

Core Strengtening and Calisthenics
3-4 times 30 minutes
Through Yoga and Callisthenic exercises such as jumping jacks, push ups, leg lifts, sit ups and arm circles

Aerobics
5 times – 35-40 minutes
To increase stamina and endurance and to keep the weight down.
Walking, running, jumping rope and aerobic ecersizes.

Okay… so that’s a LOT! I don’t really see the point of weightlifting… Plus there’s no way that I’m doing 10 times an activity in one week… I think 6 is enough, thank you very much…
Maybe I can put together my own exercise or a combination of these… I will have to think about it…

TODAY:
Today I woke up late and went straight to work on my project. Then at 4 I realized I hadn’t moved at all! I’ve got a pokewalker… XD and I had only walked 400 steps… Shocking.. Because the day was almost over… So I went for a long walk.
I fed the ducks… Picked up some stuff for my boyfriend and got diner for tonight. 2 hours later I’m back, tired and 5500 steps richer. Think that’ll do for today. ^^
