Your most neglected muscle group?

Hamstrings for me. I never work them. Viewing my legs from the back, they're pathetic. I'm gonna start hitting them hard on my leg days from now on.

not very common but mine is the shoulders and traps!

I never used to work them because I did martial arts and tey were very fast and defined, now they are so much weaker than the rest of my body that I hate working them! But im starting shoulder press now!

Abs for me,
So i designate an entire training session for abs alone. I've seen some improvement. Nothing like those dumbell side raises to really pull those sides.
Panman, are you much of a jogger?
Jogging does wonders on the hamstrings. Concrete, not the treadmill.

I think most men find the most trouble with their legs and midsection, and most women have trouble in the upper thigh area and midsection...don't you think?

my best exercise for hamstrings is by far the straight legged deadlift. I never do hamstring curls i think they are a wast of time.

if your hams are weak start doing 2 or 3 sets of 30 reps with perfect form, slow and controlled, looking up, legs locked out and back straight. After a few weeks drop the reps to 15 and increase the weight to match. Then after a couple more weeks you can do 8-10 reps with a heavier weight.

It will work wonders!

True ....but a good spin class three times a week and its easier to tone up the legs than the midsection, everybody deals with the spare tire.

My poor triceps and biceps see some work mabey once a week, but they still manage to look good.

....and I'm gonna take up that deadlift advice from xander!

i dont really skip anything. most of the time i dont train my arms directly but they do get plenty of work from other exercises. ;)

good call abear...i would venture to guess that many people overwork their arms because they neglect the fact that they take a beating on chest and back days. i still isolate arms, but i try to keep this in mind. i dont isolate my shoulders anymore...i figure they get hit pretty good with exercises like incline bench
