Yep, another supplement question!

I'm going to be going back to the gym starting tonight and working out 5 times a week (I can't work out until around 9:30/10PM at night). I have been reading more about vitamins and supplements lately and in particular the use of whey protein. So I had a few questions about it.

1)Do you purchase it from anywhere like GNC or other nutrition stores and would Wal*Mart possibly have it in their health section?

2)I am roughly 155-158lbs. and I know that I don't eat very healthy right now, so my protein intake during the day is probably *extremely* low right now. So how much should I take each day? and can I mix it with fruits such as bananas, strawberries, etc., along with maybe milk, so that it comes out in a "shake" type product?

3)Are there any other supplements that I could look into other than whey protein, such as maybe a form of creatine? That would help with my workouts? I'm not lifting heavy weights at all right now and want to give my body the ability and chance to build itself up.

Thanks in advance!!

yes, at a gnc or any nutrition store. or online also. i was in a walmart sunday and i did see some EAS whey and creatine, also a brand called body fortress. dont know about them but EAS is a good brand

at the very least, aim for .8 grams per pound of bodyweight. so 155 times .8 equals 124 grams a day. aim to get this from food first, then use supplements to fill in the gaps if needed. dont try for all of it from the whey powder. yes, you can mix fruits and milk with it.

creatine is better saved until you have good results and experience under your belt, you'll better appreciate it and have better use for it then. only other things i'd suggest are a multi-vitamin/mineral and maybe a EFA supplement like fish oil. :)
