Hello All,

I've been on this route before. Not sure what has changed but I'd like to lose some weight and a community like this seems like a great place to chart my progress. I am in my 220's at the moment and I'd like to be around 150's.
At the moment I am trying to increase my walking and trying to eat 6 times a day. I try to follow the abs diet but of course sometime I won't follow it.

Today
Breakfast: Oatmeal with brown sugar, raisons, grapefruit

meal 2: ricotta cheese, banana, peanut butter, blueberries

Lunch: 1/2 turkey sandwich

meal 4: chips/ 1/2 turkey sandwhich soup and small sliver of piece

dinner: Pork chop/ 1 piece of chicken/ baked beans

meal 6: Ice cream (1 scoop) with berries and almonds

I weighed myself this morning and I'm starting out at 225.6 I also decided to get off the bus tonight a few stops earlier so I could walk 20 minutes home. I hope I do that every night because it is a good little work out. There are a few hills on the way! I will try to post my weigh-ins on Mondays! I secretly hope to leave the 220's by next week as I'm in the first 2 weeks of this diet which are supposed to yield good results with the eating plan and a tad bit of walking!

I wake up each day and ask..ok how will I eat 6 meals today. It's a bit hard because you are eating a lot. A woman at my job said.... "you're always eating" I said that I was on the eating diet! I do hope to weigh myself every day to see the ups and downs due to my eating and walking. I hope the scale is a motivator also but of course it doesn't hold all the answers..

So I continue to try to increase my walking. I'm easily discouraged sometimes but I fought it off today and did the extra walking...

Breakfast: Oatmeal with small amount of brown sugar and raisins
meal #2: one slice of whole wheat bread, non fat cream cheese, turkey, lettuce
Lunch: half turkey sandwich, lettuce, pickles, cheese
meal #4: one scoop of ice cream, peanut butter, almonds, and raspberries
meal #5: other half of turkey sandwhich
Dinner: Black Rice, and pork chops with dessert: raspberries/almonds

I am trying not to eat too much after 8pm but its now after midnight and i'm about to "sample" my dinner for tomorrow. I'll try to only have a little bit...

Hey man, let's support each other! I assume you're a guy right? :p Just wondering cause there's alot of females on this forum.

Thanks for commenting on my progress so far. I really encourge you to do the same, post before and after pictures, and as you progress post new pics. It can be motivating and gives you something to stick to.

How tall are you? I'm 5'7''.

PS: Click on my sticker (weight thing at the bottom) and try to create one. They're fun

AHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhh,

I"m trying to commit to this beyond the minor set backs of bad eating. I have been walking a bit more and trying to eat 6 times a day and not eat after the sixth meal. While everything I'm eating isn't always the best i want to have that matrix in place. I would like to lose more but that means I should be going to the gym and eating better. This can be so frustrating because I want it all to happen NOW!

Today so far:

Breakfast: Eggs, bacon, slice of pork chop
meal 2: nuts, turkey slice
Lunch: sweet and sour chicken/pork with brown rice
meal 4: small pizza slice

I would like meal 5 to be scoop of yogurt, handful of blueberries, and scoop of peanut butter.... I would like dinner to be salad and pork chop!

Thank Trusylver. Yeah I've been pretty good on the walking. I try to do about 20 minutes in the morning and the evening. I think walking is underestimated. I have been on this weight loss road way too many time but the first big attempt 4 years ago I made some great progress in the beginning with just walking. I hope this time around will pay off. I've been trying to make changes to my eating since i'm not losing weight like I'd like to.....

Trying to add more protein and more vegetables and move more of the carbs to earlier in the day. I'm not patient enough so that's not a good sign for longevity but I persevere nonetheless.

Today was a VERY long day.

I've tried to have some protein in each of my meals. I walked for about an hour today. I ate maybe a little more than 6 meals. I would like to stay on course. I think I just want everything to happen NOW. But i'm glad i'm on this forum and hopefully some good will rub off on me. I will weigh myself in the morning as I won't be able to on my normal day as I'm traveling!

Wow. It's been over a month. I was on vacation for three weeks. I didn't really eat according to the plan that I wanted to BUT I decided since i wasn't as active as usually I tried to eat 2 meals a day. I wasn't hugely successful but I tried hard.

So now i'm back and hope to achieve my goals. I have no idea how but I hope to stick around re-learn things I learned in the past and keep at this making small steps till I reach my goal.

i feel out of control and just want to eat all the time. I want to give up but I guess the fact that i'm here typing this is fact that maybe i dont want to give up. But I never seem to be able to find the energy to do what so many people on here can do...lose weight.

I'm so frustrated.

Hey, stick with it man. Did you have one day where you just ate too much and remembered how much you liked it? That happened to me. I lost 40 lbs last year on a medical 800 calorie diet, but the first time I had an old style meal (for me) it seemed like no time and I was 313 which was my highest ever. The police academy helped me lose and I am around 288 now. Keep on it and don't let it get the best of you.

Just hang in there, small changes, a bit at a time will eventually see you at your goal.
