WTF cereal! lol

ok im quoting this from something 'spockafina' sed in this thread "http://www.fitness.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4124" and it was about wat is a clean diet. They sed that i shold not eat cereal! but i love it, i eat just right, or weeties or mini wheats (non frosted). I never once thoguht that they were bad, are they really!?

she says

Getting a solid abdomen is all about eating a clean diet. That means no white flour, sugar, processed foods, etc. No cereal, bread (unless it's 100% whole wheat), pizza, tacos.

processed foods is what she means by no cereal. every now and then, sure go for it. but as for part of a daily meal plan, it wont help you to reach your goals. ;)

dang, spokafinas last activity was aug 30th but her last post was in june. :(

so u mean im going to have to cut back to having f**** oatmeal every morning instead of my delicious mini wheats which might i add have been proven by the national heart foundation ;)

No but seriously, is it really actually that bad if im having cereal for breakfast? coz all i have is 100g with 8oz of milk...light milk :( i want to keep on having cereal even though i want a six pack to

And what about brown rice? or white potatoes! things just keep on getting worse and worse, i thought i was eating write for a change and u guys aways find something to cut out of my diet!

Haha im only joking guys.....im not really that mad :p

yep, brown rice and potatoes are great. some have concerns over the glycemic index but the more you read into that the less faith you put into it. too many variables

whats the ingredients list look like for the miniwheats? all i can find online is the frosted stuff

Ok, ill give u the nutrion information on Traditional Oats, Mini~wheats and Vita weeties:

Traditional Oats:
Perserving

110 calories
3.8g protien
2.3g fat total
saturated: 0.5g
Carbs: 17.0g
sugars: 0.3g
Dietary fibre: 3.0g
sodium: less than 5mg

Mini~wheats

Perserving

106 calories
protien: 3.4g
Fat total: 0.3g
sat: <0.1g
carbs: 20.5g
sugars: 0.6g
dietary fibre: 3.5g
sodium: 3.0mg

Vita weeties
perserving

110 calories
Protien: 3.3g
fat total: 0.7g
sat: 0.3g
Carbs: 20.4g
sugars: 0.3g
Dietary fibre: 3.6g
sodium: 120mg

And all of these are recomended by the heart foundation. I think that mini wheats are healthier than oats, but i think that weeties might have a little to much sodium. But i still think there ok to have instead of oats arent they? or wil they stop me from achieving my goal?

Thanx guys ;)
