Would this be a waste of time?

I was thinking of Bulking to August 15. And then after August 15 I was gonna cut until the begginning of school August 31 and then maintain my weight for football. Does this sound like a good idea or a waste of time because of the time incrament?
 
yeah, i don't think you have enough time to do a bulk/cut. You would not have a lot of progress in so short a period
