Workout videos?

I do not have a gym membership and do all of my workouts at home (treadmill and freeweights) I do workout videos occasionally but get bored with them. I would like to purchase a new video but it so hard to know which ones are good. Does anyone have any suggestions on videos they would reccomend?

I only have 2 DVDs:

- Good Pilates workout for beginners to intermediate, but she is freakin' annoying to me! Super perky and peppy. As soon as I learned the routine, I put her on mute. That made it an enjoyable workout.

- Lots of, um... fun... but not a workout at all. She goes through the steps in super-slow-mothion, and then when you do the routine at normal speed it takes about 6 minutes.

Hope this helps...

I don't like Denise Richards either. I have a Hard Body Yoga DVD which kicks my butt!

What I do is have a netflix membership and I rent the videos rather than buy them. Inevitably you will get sick of a workout and not want to use the DVD anymore so this is a better option for me.

The Tae bo and Tae Bo live and Get Ripped series are some of the best but after that billy put out a whole lot of crazy sets that I just can't get into.
His tae bo focus abs and buns routine has the best ab routine I have ever seen. I have lots of out of shape freinds and we all do the ab section toghether after a workout and everyone is able to follow along and get a great burn- even me.
Tony little is pretty easy to find in thrift stores and his stuff is pretty good and the abs of steel (not buns of steel) is a good choice

Great idea there teresa!
I don't know to much about videos, the only ones i have a breakdancing/hip hop ones (though do they kick you ass).

I have two of the crunch videos, an ab one and a pilates one. when i used the ab one i really felt it and it was good for strengthening the core. i also really liked the pilates one. just an idea for you.

Thanks for all of the great suggestions! Netflix is a great idea. I have two Denise Austin DVD's and she annoys me as well, I never thought of putting her mute, I will have to try that :)

Has anyone used many of Karen Voights videos? I was looking into getting one of hers.
Thanks for all the help!

I just got my Celebrity Fit Club DVD in the mail last week. It's a lot of basic exercises (pushups, jogging in place, squats, lunges, jumping jacks, crunches, etc). Right now it's somewhat challenging for me (I'm only doing the 30 min workout). Never thought of the netflix idea!!! I also have the FitTV channel and LOVE it, they air 30 min and 1 hour workouts all day. I have OnDemand too and use that sometimes to choose a workout on the spot.
