Hello everyone, I'm a 20 year old student at Virginia Tech. Just to give a little background on my fitness level, I'm 6ft, 140lbs, I run about 45 miles (run 4 days a week, 11.25 miles each day) and go lift three times a week so I'm doing something physical every day for about an hour and fifteen minutes. This is my usual work out schedule.
My problem is that I've joined a boxing club at school and I am now learning how to box two days a week. So now my workout schedule is 4 days of running, 2 days of boxing, and one day of lifting. I lift more to stay toned and not so much to become a body builder (again, running is my main deal).
My question is that if I go down to one day of lifting a week, is that going to be a terrible thing for my upper body? I know boxing obviously works out your upper body (I guess everything actually) and I put the effort in when I box, but I don't feel as soar as I do when I lift. I get tired like I do from a run (because I'm betting it's more of a cardio workout?), but not really soar like from the gym.
Any input would be great. Thank you ahead of time.
