So i cannot ever set foot on a treadmill and/or elliptical without listening to some sort of music. I am pretty bored with mine current collection and my gym doesn't play any background music. Any winners on your list?

I just look on google for mash-up mixes and DJ tunes. Theres alot on there. DJ Earworm is a good one, DJ Dan, DJ Maggie Mash, Best of Bootie, DJ Greg J...

I also have a Napster subscription and generally the new music on there is stuff I listen to. Mika, David Bowie/Queen, Chemical Romance, Muse (Muse RULE!), Kate Nash, Marina and the Diamonds, Glee, (and though its not on there) the new Scissor Sisters album are all strong contenders for me at the moment. But my MP3 play list for the gym changes on a monthly basis, I'm always looking for new music.

When I lift weights, I don't like the distraction of headphones and cbles hanging all over the place, so I listen to whats on the TV's at my fitness center. My cardio anymore is either golfing (no music), walking with the wife/dog (no music), or playing DDR (it has its own music). When I'm doing other things like riding the exercise bike or running, I need my ipod. I usually listen to mainstream rock/metal. I usually find an album with mostly songs in the 150-170 bpm range so I can set my cadence to them, and then play the album the whole way through. I can find I can pedal harder for longer when I'm synchronized to the beat, rather than off the beat.

What kind of music do you like to listen to? I have a very long playlist i can post but it is mostly hard rock / rap / and "trendy" radio songs with a beat.

Im a 30 y/o guy... If interested, ill post.

The entire album smash by The Offspring is fairly motivating, most of their stuff is.

If you like oldies that is, it's sad that music I listened to in high school is considered oldies now...

I do agree with MGMT, Electric Feel would have to be my favorite.
