Workout ideas for semi-disabled

Last year I managed to lose a lot of weight, but I still need to lose more. Thing is, I can't really do it anymore. A few months ago I was in an accident and was left with a broken rib. Now they say it should be cured, but it's not.
This means I can't really exercise, at least not that much. When I try to run or even walk fast, it starts hurting and I can't continue.
What I do now is walk, walk, walk... 3-5h/day, but that seems useless, so maybe someone could suggest something I could try, because I'm clueless and it's really frustrating.
The only thing I can still do is ride a bike, but I can't really do that anymore because it's too cold. I don't want to buy a stationary one either because it's just not the same and gets boring after just a couple of minutes.
 
Why not fix the core of the problem; find a new doc and figure out what the hell is going on. If you can't even walk without it hurting, there really isn't much you're going to be able to do beyond riding a bike.
