Workout help

Hey, sorry to make my third thread in 3 days, but I'm really serious about losing all my blubber (or as much as I can).

I'm happy with my diet for now, but I need help with what the best workout for losing fat would be. I've heard lots of cardio is good for losing fat? Could somebody give me a good example of a cardio workout?
As you can tell I'm new to working out so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Lepper.

edit: sorry, I wasnt sure if this was the right section to put this under.

Diet is very important... Sounds like you have that figured out. Remember to eat 6-7 smaller meals each day. And, drink 1 - 1.5 gallons of water throughout the day.

Also, (I hate to sound like a broken record) you need to rest your muscles! And, get a descent amount of sleep (it is different for everyone).

Good cardio for you would be running. That is a killer way to burn calories and fat. Try running 3 days per week 45 minutes per day. And, make sure you are keeping your heart rate between 75 and 85% of your MHR.

In addition to cardio, you should lift for strength. Hitting large muscle groups (i.e. Thighs, Chest, Back) will give you the largest fat burning return. Don't forget to work your core muscles some and antagonist muscles.

Finally, if you want your body to be in proportion, don't forget to work traps, calves, shoulders, biceps, and triceps as well.

The biggest part of this is designing a plan based on your outcome needs. And then sticking with it!

Go for it,
Rip

Hey thanks for the good advice. That has definetly helped me in many ways!
Much appreciated.

Edit: Does the 45 minutes have to be all in one go. That seems kind of daunting and I don't know if I will be fit enough to do that?
