Workout advice?

I'm a 25 year old tall skinny guy, about 6'3" 160lbs, and am going to start working out at the gym 3 days a week before work. I haven't done any serious workouts since high school when I played baseball and football, but even then I never really gained much muscle and it's hard to keep going when you're not seeing any progress. I know that I'm never going to be huge no matter what I do, but I would like to bulk up a little bit. What suggestions would you have for someone like me? What kind of program should I be on? Are there any safe supplements or anything that I should take to get maximum results? If anyone can be of help to a skinny guy like me, I'd appreciate it!
