Working out too long in one day? NEED HELP TOO!!!

Ok...When my friend and I go to the gym we stay there and lift weights for like..one and a half to 2 hours (thats including like 30 mins of cardio)...we do the same things and spot eachother so that obviously takes more time. Niether of us waste any time and we hardly even talk to people just so we can get our workouts done faster, but I read in an article that working out for like an hour and a half or whatever is "bad"; the article said it was a waste of time??....So my question is....how long should a workout be for 2 people. Here's our routine for Monday (with the weight I do) and everyone please tell me how this sounds...(and keep in mind we're 15 years old) I'm open to any feedback/advice!

flat bench( 175lbs 8x3)

pull-ups (we usually do like 50-100 each) (10x10)

curls on the curl bar(varies in weight) (I usually do 85lbs(a 35 on each side) 5x5)

weighted crunches or declined situps (numbers vary)

tricep extensions (I think that's what they're called lol) (60lbs 3x10 then 50lbs 2x10)

military press(machine that you put the weights on..dont know what its called) 30lbs on each side 3x10

and then like 20 or 30 minuetes of cardio

You do chest, back, arms, and abs every Mon? That's actually a pretty good setup you have for this day.

Your military press should come right after your pull ups. Speaking of the pull ups, I'd strap on some weight and work at lower reps. I'm not sure why you're in the gym so long. Cardio and lifting combined, get out of there within an 1 hour and 15 minutes tops (both of you together).

Why? When he's resting he spots his partner and on his partners rest period, his partner spots him. The partner shouldn't be doing much, if any, of the work unless you have a few sets of failure work, but that doesn't take away from the rest interval.

Then again, if you're taking huge rest intervals (no need for more than a 90-120 second rest) then they should be in and out relatively quickly.

about the weighted pullups ...I used to do em weighted all the time ( 25 lbs 2x10) but I talked to this guy in the gym and he says it could lead to back problems??? Is this true??? I havn't felt anything like that so far but..idk....

The only way that I could perceive any type of back problems would be an uneven distribution of the weight but I'm pretty sure you're using a belt or db between the knees.

I can't think of any studies that have shown back problems due to weighted pull ups, so in other words-you're find doing them weighted.

Of course, he'll prob tell you that squatting is bad for the knees.
