working out before or after running

which is more beneficial to my girlfriend, running then working out? or working out then running.

I always thought working out then running because when you run your body goes into a cantabolic state after and your workouts won't be as effective.

good answer. yes, you're better off doing resistance training first, and then a cardiovascular/aerobic workout after.

though ideally, you'd do them on separate days. you shouldn't really be weight training every day...as you need some recovery.

or, do them several hours apart. weights in morning, cardio in the evening.
 
It's better that you do Weight Training before Cardio if it's in a single session.
But if you're doing it separately...It's better that you do Cardio in the Morning right after you wake up. You burn more fat if you run after fasting.
 
Weight training before! It is almost useless to do resistance workouts when you are tired. Running is more challenging atfer resistance workouts and but then it burns more fat. And remember training your legs before running isn't that good idea... So when training, keep in mind that that you are going to go running afterwards.
