working on the belly?

What are some good ways to get rid of belly fat? I don’t have a huge tummy, & I am not trying to get a 6pack I just want to burn off the fat. I can’t run, due to a foot enjury, but I can ride a bike, would that do much for burning fat in that section or just work my legs out? My upper body is fit, I keep myself in a routine of free weights & push-ups , but I want to get my little belly a little flatter. Any diets suggested?

A ton of posts on this board ask the question, how do I lose my belly fat? You might want to search the board for previous responses.

Some simple points
* Crunches/sit-ups don't burn away the fat, they target the muscle and doing hundreds of them is really nothing more than just wasting your time.
* Establish a healthy lifestyle (read the article above for starters)
* Try to be more active overall. Take the stairs instead of the elevator, walk instead of drive if its feasible, etc.
