So i've been working on my abs for about 4 months, now its gotten more intense. Usually they are vaguely visible in some way, however I notice that whenever I do my exercises, my abs completely disappear as if they shrink or something. I can't be overworking them since I don't do too much, but it gets to the point where they hurt as if they're about to burst. But I read that overworking abs is fine. Maybe I have body fat covering it still, although I'm quite skinny (not as skinny as I used to be) I weigh 66kg, gained 8 since I started.
Whenever I touch them, it feels like theres this flap of skin over them, is this body fat or just skin? I keep thinking I have to overwork them to grow bigger and eventually accomodate themselves in this "flap", but truthfully I don't know what it is.
edit: recently I've had insomnia, and havent gotten proper sleep. Could this also be a reason?
