Working Forearms and Deadlifts on "Rest" days ? ?

I have started to add forearm training to my routine. (Palm up wrist curls and palm down wrist curls) But, the 6x total reps add too much time to my normal upper body days. Is it advisable (read ok) to do the above mentioned exercises on leg days - days that I avoid working my arms and upper body.

Last - What do you consider Romanian Dead Lifts to be? Upper, legs, all? I normally do them on leg days.

(Day1 - Arms Chest Upper Back, Day2 - Legs, abs, lower back, RDL, Day3 repeat day 1, Day4 - repeat day 2 or 35 min cardio swimming, Day 5 - off.

Thanks

Doing forearm work on your day off isn't going to hurt.

Romanian deadlifts primarily work the lower back, butt, and hamstrings. So they should be put on leg day. Doing them on your rest day would be a bad idea, especially since some studies show that the lower back doesn't recover quickly from workouts.

First, I wouldn't waste time training forearms. If you are doing enough pulling exercises like deadlifts, chin-ups, etc, you will be building your forearms. Use that time more efficiently by doing more squats, DL, RDL, and so on.

As for the RDL, it is most certainly a major leg exercise targetting the hammies and glutes. I would not do it on a rest day. I would integrate it into your routine.

RDLs work every muscle in your body. They primarily target the full musculature of the leg, and glutes (if done right), as well as the back and shoulders. You better be getting some AB work from it also.....you abs should be flexed very tightly during this exercise to stay injury and increase strength.
