Work to Do

Hi;
I'm new to this kind of thing but know that I can't lose weight without support. I have a lot of weight to lose and I'll need encouragement and reality checks! I've gone to the doctor, started cutting back on things, quit eating in the evening, started to get a little more exercise and I see a dietician next week. Also, I'm seeing a therapist regularly.
This may sound a bit drastic, but I weigh 345 lbs. and I'm 5' 3", so I need to be smart about it. It's time - I'll be 50 next month and I won't live much longer unless I deal with this. I'm doing this and may be a candidate for surgery depending on tests that I have to have done etc.
I just want to feel proud of myself again - it's been a long time.
 
well welcome to the forum. I sure hope you find a lot of support and motivation from this site. I have a lot of weight to lose myself i have been doing some small weight training with the 3lb hand weights I have and doing crunches and some leg exercises every other day and doing cardio 3 times a week. plus i'm going to be taking walks everyday as long as it doesn't get to hot.
