so, i was flipping through Essence magazine and came across this article about a woman who is in breast cancer remission. in this article she says
"I'm going through this and when it's over, I'll be better than who I was."
when i read that, i instantly though of myself, and every other person going through a personal struggle. sure, when we loose the weight, we'll be happy, be able to fit into that size 6 or 8 or 10. but think about the feeling of accomplishment we will feel when we step onto that scale and see we've reached our goal weight. or when one morning we wake up, look in the mirror and feel content.
the struggle with weight loss may not be breat cancer, but for many of us it is a chronic disease. but, with the support of each other, we can get through it. and we will come out stronger, healthier and maybe a little bit happier.
so, i wish you all the best of luck.
and don't forget this: "I'm going through this and when it's over, I'll be better than who i was."
so, remember that.
