WOOHOOO I Love working out you gotta read this!

Whether it be stretching, running, weight training, doing some tae kwon do, or just taking a walk or biking down the common mountain path, I gotta say working out is just so fun to do. I think I'm started to getting addicted to working out because whenever i get a little bit bored my muscles start to cringe and I feel like i just wanna get on the floor and do 50 push ups. I love the wee bit soreness you feel when you wake up the next morning after a good workout. If i miss a workout i feel kinda tired and bored, like I don't wanna do anythign at all.

Who else feels this way??

WHen school starts up tomorrow I'm gonna start hitting the weightroom EVERY single day and run 3x more.

Here's my workout schedule for the whole week:

Monday: Chest, abdominals, laterals, shoulders, back
treadmill 7 mph for 20 minutes avrg

Tuesday: Wrists, forearms, biceps, triceps, deltoids
TaeKwonDo

Wednesday: Repeat what i did on monday

Thursday: REpeat what i did on tuesday
treadmill 7 mph 20 mins avrg
Friday: Reeat what i did on monday

Saturday: TaeKwonDo

Sunday: Stretches, pushups, sit ups, simple short workout
elliptical

I workout in weightroom usually for 1.5 hours every time i go.

I LOVE WORKING OUT What do you guys think about my weight training schedule???

yea me too
im like addicted to it somehow
on the day im resting and i go into the weightroom i just have this urge to start lifting them for fun :D

Unless I missed something, I don't see any leg exercises in your workouts. You need to work your legs, Squats, lunges, calf raises, etc. Also you mentioned that you work your laterals on Mon, Wed. and Fri. What bodypart exactly is that ?? Also you do realize that shoulders and delts are the same bodypart. Maybe when you say delts you mean your traps ?? I don't know. I also personally think you need to take a day of rest each week. No lifting, no taekwondo, no nothing just rest. It's good to be motivated, but your body grows when you're resting, not in the gym. That's just my $0.02.

I am so with you on the gym addiction.

I now have 2 workout buddies (my best friend, who is my original gym buddy; and now my sister-in-law who sort of weaseled her way into it), and they both whine all the time that they can't wait to be "hot" so they can quit going to the gym 5 days a week and start going like 2 or 3 days a week. Now let me clarify, they cancel on me every single week and haven't gone with me 5 days a week in over 2 months! LOL! My friend usually goes 3, maybe 4 days a week and my SIL usually goes 2 or 3 days a week. I, however, want to go every day. I get really PMS'y if I don't go. I want to go every single day but can only go monday thru friday (saturday is family day, and there's no childcare at the gym on sunday), so I try to workout at home on the weekends. I would love it if I had time to go twice a day. Every time they say something about "I can't wait until we don't have to do this every day" I just sort of giggle and tell them that I enjoy it. They think it's because I get to drop the kids at the childcare and have time to myself. I would say, that's about 10% of it. The other 90% is me, wanting to feel healthier, look better, be stronger. I feel like wonderwoman when I've had a tough week at the gym! :)

working the same muscles everyday will slow down building them up or even hurt them, just to let you know

wooooooooohooooooooooo

hahaha sorry, working out is addictive cuz it releases hormones, humans weren't supposed to sit behind desks and eat 6 small meals a day. we were supposed to hunt our food and stay on our feet all day.

Amen brother

What do you guys mean? I do body workout on one day, and arm workout on the other. And I run on the treadmill... isn't that leg training? I think shoulder and deltoids are different things. That's why they have different names.

Deltoids are behind triceps and shoulder is next to deltoids i think.

Furthermore, i am getting rest, aren't I? Because I workout one body part one day and the other body part the other. So by the next day I should be ready to workout again!

I don't see what's wrong with my plan!! someone explain please!!!

p.s. yea everytime i walk by the weightroom i just have this urge to just go lift weights for fun lol

Deltoids=shoulders (very simply put)

There's no reason you need a day just for arms.

You need time off to restore glycogen levels, not to mention the body needs rest...think of the body as a whole piece and not just a bunch of thrown together muscle groups.

You'd be better off doing an upper/lower split and taking a day off on Weds and Sun. You might even incorporate some movements like burpees, high pulls, db swings, and db snatches that will help your TKD.
