wondering what I can expect in 3 months?

Hi. I am starting to make changes in my life by eating right and exercising. I am going to Greece at the end of June and want to get fit for the beach, and overall just to look better.

I'm 5'4" and I weigh 124. I know I am at a normal weight. But I never exercise, eat a lot of junk food, and my body isn't athletic. It is doughy, especially around my tummy and thighs. I've noticed I've gained weight specifically in my thighs because I used to weigh 117 and got stretch marks where the fat has accumulated.

I would like to weigh around 110-115 pounds, so thats only around 14 pounds to lose at the most. I have 3 months to get to my goal, and I'm wondering if that is realistic?

After getting to my goal I plan to continue to eat healthy and exercise, just not as much so I don't lose any more weight. I plan on eating around 1400-1500 calories and work out 6X a week.

Let me know what you think.

If you plan on cutting your calories like that and exercising 6x a week - 3 months to drop 14lbs is definately realistic. I actually think that 6x a week is a bit much for someone your size but sometimes the less you have to lose - the harder it can be.

Hope that once you reach your goal weight you'll continue with your exercise routine. You can fluctuate your calories to level out so that you don't continue to lose at that point.

Good luck!!!

Part of me what's to say, "get started and find out." The biggest hurdle is going to be your mind.

But your weight loss is definitely realistic if you go about things correctly.
