women: how much weight do you lift

I don't do weights at home but at the gym for now I do about 150 lbs when I work my legs on the sitting squat machine and about 30 lbs when I do my arms...probably peanuts to some. Works for me though.

I do the Firm at home, as well. However, I also do Cathe tapes and we will be purchasing a Nautilus Cage system within a week or two. I don't like doing JUST the Firm (even though I have close to 20 of their tapes) because of the weights with cardio. I am really trying to build muscle, the cardio keeps me from gaining. If I pyramid to VERY heavy weights, I loose the form so I have to go lighter, thus defeating the purpose of building muscle. I keep the Firm tapes for days I'll do total body workouts (probably once a week). I enjoy the Cathe tapes a bit more. However, because I already have a bench, dumbells, and barbells, I have a great weight workout routine that I'm extremely happy with. So, I'm a big fan of rotating things. I'm not a bodybuilder by any means (I don't have the time to dedicate), but I consider myself pretty fit, and by rotating things I don't get too bored.

I like resistance bands for at home... you can get alot from them and they take up no space. Usually at home I just use those, aerobics tapes and do Pilates and other floor toning.
