Women Cutting and Bulking?

Hi.
The men here are always talking about cutting and bulking and how it works for them.
Does the same method/principles apply to women?

I am 5'5'' 122 lbs, 25 yr old female, very good muscle tone, body fat is 16-18% but I want to get even more muscle! But at the same time ''bulking'' for a woman doesnt sound to pretty.. I really have no desire to weigh a ton more than I do now but I love the way muscle looks.. As a side note, I consume 1800-2000 cals per day, clean food w/ LOTS of protein,, at least 125 grams.

I lift 4-5 days a week, and do intense HIIT 3 days a week and high intensity running the other 2-3 days. Any comments on cutting/bulking for a woman would be very appreciated.

Yeah, the same concept applies to anyone, not just men. It's very possible to put on a good amount of muscle while not putting on a boatload of fat. Obviously your diet has to be stellar though.

But I wouldn't worry so much about being bulky unless you are consuming an exorbitant of food.

In my opinion, you could easily bump up the calories, maintain a solid lifting routine, cut back on the cardio quite a bit to one or two times a week - for atleast a few months. Then, of course, evaluate where you are after and decide where to go.

I would even go as far as to say women have to try a little bit harder, mainly because they lack enough natural testosterone to put on muscle 'like a guy'.

usually women are afraid of protein and that ends up being their limiting factor for good muscle growth.
