I am thinking of buying stationary bike but i have no idea if its gonna be too easy for me.

I am 100kg(220 lbs) male and im thinking of buying stationary bike with this characteristics :

Flywheel: 4,2 KG(9.24 lbs)
Magnetic system
8 degrees of resistance
Capacity :100kg(220 lbs)

How hard will 8th degree be for me?Is this enough, coz i dont want to buy something that will feel like walking.

As long as it is a durable and decent quality bike I think 8 would be enough for most people. Enthusiasts may though want bikes that go to 11!!(Spinal Tap joke) :rotflmao:

Yes, I think that the weight of the flywheel has some kind of effect on the physics ( momentum) of the bike, but I'm not able to tell what the difference would be. I would think that a bike with a bigger flywheel would have a more stable pace of operation?

Ask if you can try one before you buy one and go with that?

I like to use a spinner bike (hence the handle). Unlike a stationary bike you can stand on them and ride in many different positions. Like a stationary bike you can adjust the resistance.

I have also learned to prefer a wheel driven by a rubber band (rather than a chain) simply because it does not 'jerk' when you ride on your feet fast with the resistance up.

Bikes are an excellent low impact workout and I have never had any injuries through riding and I have been doing it for 2 1/2 years now.

8 degrees of resistance should be just fine for your weight.
