Will this be the last time I try to loose? Hi!

AHi everyone!

Long time struggler with weight here! Been overweight since I was about 15, with my weight dramatically increasing when I was 19, after my Mam died, the year of 2005. I've struggled with dieting and exercise since I was very young also as my Mam was overweight herself and determined that I wouldn't be... I would love to loose this weight once and for all instead of yo-yoing back and forward.
In 2007 i successfully managed o get down to 12 stone from 16 and a half stone, only 2 and a half stone from my ultimate target weight. In 2009 I began to put on substantial weight back on after another difficult time and gradually gained until I was OVER my heaviest weight at 16 stone 11lbs.
Since then I've half heatedly tried, managing to loose a stone and a half but usually putting it back on again. At the moment I weight 16 stone.
Turning 26 last month was a MASSIVE eye opener! I don't want to be fat throughout my entire youth! My boyfriend bought me an annual gym pass a week ago and I had planned to go every day, mon to fri with sat and sun off as well as cutting down on my eating. Working on cardio for an hour, using the elliptical.
My target is at least 4 stone in eight months, ideally 5-6 stone. Lately though my motivation has dipped (surprise, surprise) and I decided to go to the gym every other day instead, will this still be enough to keep me on target? Any times on keeping motivation high? Also my eating isn't perfect yet, although I have cut down a lot from what I was eating.
I'm basically just looking for some advice on exercise, on how much I need to be doing to see a good, steady weight loss and increase my natural fitness. Please don't be scared to tell me if I am not currently doing enough. I'm also looking for motivation and to meet some new like minded people :)

You sound alot like me, I would sugguest you plan out what you want to achieve for the week and stick too it. I know if i be lazy once, I'll be lazy all week. At the moment I have a min of 30mins a day of jogging on the treadmill but me being me, I have to say I'm not allowed dinner until I have done the time lol I was actually not motvated at all, so I'm now on a 6 month plan. I'm allowed to weigh myself 3times in the 6months but only my husband is allowed to know what it says, he can only tell me if I'm on target lol I want to lose 12kgs in that time (I think its almost 2stone) So far not knowing what I've lost keeps my snacking down and makes me want to exercise. If you don't get motvated soon, you should think about trying another approach. I'm still trying all different motvators so if you find one that works for you, make sure to tell me :)


We are about the same weight so would love to hear how your going.
