Hi, i'm 18 years old. I've had man boobs and a chubby stomach since i was about 10 years old. Before that i was extremely skinny. People always used to tell me that i needed to eat more because i was like a pencil. My man boobs and stomach have been relativly the same since for the past 8 years. Besides my chest and stomach, i'm actually very skinny. I'm not very strong, and my arms and legs are pretty thin. (I can wrap my fingers around my wrist). I'm 6 foot and 3 inches tall and weigh about 180 pounds. My BMI is in the ideal range. I don't really excersise that much. Are my man boobs just part of puberty and they'll go away? Thanks!

i have mega man boobs, some old woman would be proud of!

I havent been told myself how to lose them (in fact im embarssed) however with going to the gym doing cardio and doing chest press.

They have not gone, all though the nipples are not pointing south anymore!

Anyone got any more ways to lose them?

The only way to lose fat is to lose it all over. You can't exercise away fat one spot at a time. It just doesn't work that way.

Losing weight is about diet first and foremost, and exercise next. If you want to lose weight in your torso, then you'll have to manage what you eat - making sure to eat a reasonalbe amount of calories, and balanced nutrients.

will my man boobs go away?

Yes, but the memories of them will live on forever.

Umm, no, but seriously...they'll go away. Mine have gotten smaller. I still have a little ways to go before they're completely gone, but they're definitely getting smaller. Pretty soon, I won't even be able to play with them or wear a bra anymore. Not...that...I would...you know...wear a bra. I uhhhhh, I'm...I'm just sayin'.

I had seen a similar kind of a problem for a friend and the humiliation incurred. But, after following a strict diet and exercise, the MBs, even though not completely gone, were mostly invisible.

Now, I can watch the confidence in my friend. As Kara specifies, Diet first and exercise next.

I'll take em!!!!

donate them to the cause! My boobs have shrunk to a measely 34A

ill take em!!!!!!!! :hurray::biggrinjester:

Im pretty sure they will go away. my chest area is already smaller and thats just from loosing 14 pounds. so it doesnt take alot to start seeing a difference.

There's no way to spot reduce. The boobs will go away when the rest of your excess fat does.

You have to change your diet and exercise patterns (especially diet) to redesign your body. It takes time, and effort.

Read the sticky posts in the forums - especially the ones on nutrition and exercise.

The only way to remove fat from anywhere on your body is to lose it by eating fewer calories than you burn. Aim for a healthy number of calories and make sure that you're getting balanced nutrients - plenty of complex carbs, lean proteins, and healthy fats.

In order to make sure you maintain lean muscle and build that "fit" shape that most people are looking for, you need to lift weights or at the very least do bodyweight exercises 2x-3x per week. Fill in around that with cardio to help burn additional calories.

Again, read the sticky posts: all the information has been given there, you just have to read it! :)

The only thing that I would add to Kara's suggestion is that it is much easier to apply what you learn in the nutrition section about targets for protein etc if you get a free account from and start to log all your food there. Then you can see if you are getting enough of the good things that will make your body perform well.

the only thing I might add is that it's a possibility that he might indeed have gyno. 6'2" and 180lbs is somewhat of a normal weight. it's possible his hormonal levels might indeed be off and he has increased estrogen levels. check with a doc, get tested to see how your hormones are looking.

Working out though very possibly would be a 2 birds with one stone. If it's fat, increased muscle mass and some fat loss would make them smaller. if it is breast tissue growth, the increased test levels in your body might very well cause the hormonal imbalance to naturally balance out. so give it a shot.
