Will I get a beer belly..

So with my new found confidence (having gone from 245 to 185, about 20lbs to go!) I finally started to hit the clubs, and I've never been a drinker before, for the last year I've been pretty much only drinking water. I had 2 beers to loosen me up and that was enough for me to work up enough confidence to ask this girl for a dance (I got "nicely" rejected, lol), but I'm not too worried about it because I purposely chose her because I knew I looked better than her, lol. Anyways, 2 beers and I was good to go, not too drunk. I was wondering if 2-3 beers a week like this will make me put on a beer belly, or really hurt my weight loss progress, (I googled "beer belly" and some of those pictures are just... disgusting, lol) if so I should probably stop drinking while I'm still early in the game but I'm not gonna lie, it really did help my confidence.

I don't think that two or three beers will get you a beer belly. If you're too worried, just throw in a few extra minutes of exercise the day you go out.

I'm not sure about needing the beer to boost your confidence though...that's never a good thing. Try boosting your confidence with something else instead. I mean, you lost all that weight, you look better than you did before, you know you can do what a lot of other people failed to do, you're healthier....isn't that confidence boost enough? :)
 
I don't know, I've never really been good at socializing, especially dancing with random strangers, and I think people see that. Not to sound emo or anything, but I've been uncomfortable with the way I look for so much of my life that I'm still dealing with what I guess you can call the after effects of it. I've been an introvert for way too long, never had a girlfriend and I'm 23 years old, I'm making a little progress on becoming more extroverted though, but slowly. I do hate to "rely" on alcohol, but damn.. I was proud of myself the other night at the club.
 
Hmm...well, then try to cut down gradually. Have 2 beers one week, try to do it with only one the week after...maybe once you see that it works, you won't need the beer anymore. I understand it's difficult to build up confidence after being uncomfortable with yourself for so long, so give it a little time, and don't give up! :)
